Freshen up your ink or work on becoming holier than thou at the Tattoo and Body Art Expo. More than 200 tattoo and piercing artists — including Gil Montie, Nate Beavers, Mike Chambers, Dan Martin and Chicken Wing — will set up shop at the Reliant Center to exhibit their skin-embellishing skills. But if you don’t get an appointment or you’re not looking to be poked and prodded, you can check out tatted-up folks taking off their clothes. The event features 19 tattoo contests, including a Hot Ass Contest (ladies only) and an Orgasm Contest (which somehow has something to do with tattoos). 2 to 11 p.m. Friday, 11 a.m. to 11 p.m. Saturday, and 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. Sunday. 1 Reliant Park.
