Playwright Bert V. Royal’s satire, Dog Sees God: Confessions of a Teenaged Blockhead, is about Charlie Brown and his friends, just not the same Charlie Brown you’ve read about in the Peanuts comic strip. This time the characters are teenagers indulging in drugs, sex and rock and roll, not to mention overeating, suicide and other vices. Noticeably absent is a certain black-and-white beagle. (He went rabid and ate Woodstock.) “It’s a show about how teens or young adults struggle to find an identity for themselves and how we often make that process harder for one another,” says Rob Kimbro, director of the production. Although this production is based on cartoon characters, it’s not suitable for young audiences. 8 p.m. Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays, 3 p.m. Sundays. Through February 19.
