With gas at around $4 a gallon, were wondering if this years Art Car Weekend might feature a lot more parking than actual driving. (And who can blame the artists? The automotive creations arent known for getting high miles-per-gallon.) Though its markedly less outré than the lost weekends of ten or 15 years ago, the parade is massive and still spectacular. The Orange Show hosts three major events: The Art Car Ball on Friday, the Sneak Peek at Discovery Green on Saturday and, of course, the parade on Sunday. There are also independent side events like the nighttime Illuminated Cruise. Event times and locations vary. For information, call 713-926-6368 or visit www.orangeshow.org.
