This is really easy: Houston Beer Fest is a festival celebrating beer in Houston. That’s really all you need to know, isn’t it? Beer. Festival. Houston. That’s the whole concept in three words. Okay, if you must know more, some 80 types of beers will be on hand, from the oh-so-familiar Coors Light and Dos Equis to the harder to find Left Hand and Green Flash to the just awesome Ommegang and Lagunitas. There will also be bands including Windsor Drive, Skeleton Dick and Lotus Effect and Beer Pong and Flip Flip Flipadelphia tournaments (sorry, the tourneys are already closed to registration). 2 to 10 p.m. Herman Square Park/City Hall, 900 Smith.
