If you want to prepare your child for a future on the crocodile planet, Space Center Houston has you covered with
''CHOMP! The Science of Survival.'' (A crocodile planet is just one of many alternative-reality futures that those of us in the know are preparing for.) The exhibit brings the world of crocodilians to Space Center Houston for what are being called ''nose-to-snout'' encounters. The event is being handled by Crocodile Encounter, which, in addition to introducing schoolchildren to their favorite carnivores, recently brought a traveling exhibit to a screening of
Alligator at Alamo Drafthouse. Here the company has partnered with Space Center Houston and will have multiple croc pools on exhibit along with stage shows throughout the summer.
If crocs aren't your thing, check out the exhibits with poison dart frogs, snakes and sharks on the outdoor stage. There will also be an animal-themed obstacle course for kids involving maneuvering through spider webs and balancing on platforms. (Gotta get them ready for that crocodile planet.)
