Sniff out threats to our health at the Health Museum’s “Disease Detectives” exhibit. Kids can learn about the different types of germs that cause illness, how infections spread and ways to stop them with the help of Adam, Marcus and Yolanda, three new science exhibits who happen to be suffering from food- and water-borne, airborne and vector-borne dis-eases. “Disease Detectives” takes visitors through the past 200 years of widespread illnesses, from how we’ve handled mass outbreaks in the past to what scientists are doing now to protect our health with new technologies. “This exhibit offers a new area of interest to our museum audience. Our focus on health, medical science and the human body is the basis of what ‘Disease Detectives’ is all about. The exhibit combines all three areas while educating visitors on this fascinating medical science in a way that both our student and adult audiences can appreciate,” said Health Museum president and CEO Jon Iszard.
