Mozart’s Jupiter Symphony

The Houston Symphony kicks off the new year with a performance of Mozart’s Jupiter Symphony. Opening the program is Haydn’s Symphony No. 59, known as the Fire Symphony. There’s also Schnittke’s Moz-Art à la Haydn for two violins and chamber ensemble, but the highlight of the program is sure to be Mozart’s Symphony No. 41, Jupiter. Houston Symphony music director-designate Andrés Orozco-Estrada will be at the podium for the program and orchestra member Eric Halen will be featured on violin.
