Only at the Alamo: To Be Takei

He’s a sci-fi hero, a LGBTQ community role model and is now known as the King of Facebook (he has more than 5 million fans!). In the documentary To Be Takei, part of the Only at the Alamo series, George Takei, first made famous in his role as Sulu on the original Star Trek television series and the subsequent movies, and his husband Brad look at the pop icon’s life and career, including growing up in a Japanese internment camp during World War II, his Star Trek experiences, civil rights work and current projects such as Allegiance, a musical about life in the camps, and Oh Myyy! There Goes the Internet, a book that documents how he took over the Internet.
