Houston Texans vs. Baltimore Ravens

Former Texans coach Gary Kubiak, now the offensive coordinator for the Baltimore Ravens, returns to NRG Stadium for the first time when the Houston Texans and Baltimore Ravens meet on Sunday. Kubiak and his former team suffered through a miserable 2-14 season in 2013, but the Texans have turned it around (sort of) for this season with seven wins so far. After the recent loss to the Colts, the Texans are out of the running for the playoffs, but that doesn’t mean they’re going to go easy on the Ravens for this match-up. Baltimore brings a solid offense into Houston led by quarterback Joe Flacco. They’ll face one of the league’s best defenses thanks in large part to J.J. Watt, arguably the NFL’s best player. The teams have developed a bit of a rivalry over the years, but the record is decidedly lopsided, with the Ravens owning the series 7-1, including a first-round playoff win over the then-Kubiak-coached Texans in 2012. Expect both teams to have a little extra juice for this one, considering the coaching regime change.
