Former Los Skarnales bassist (and multiple Houston Press Music Awards winner) Nick Gaitan has a new gig – thumping out the bottom for Billy Joe Shaver.
Reached at a Dallas-area Cracker Barrel on tour, Gaitan reports that he will be out on the road with the Texas legend until the 27th of this month and then, after a few days off, pretty much continuously after that.
And with that, Gaitan was off to dine on what promises to be many plates of sugar-cured ham with sides of country green beans, black-eyed peas and Cracker Barrel’s famous hash brown casserole. – John Nova Lomax
