Last night during their Buzzfest 26-closing set at at the Cynthia Woods Mitchell Pavilion, classic alt-rockers Jane's Addiction had the distinct honor of announcing to the nearly sold-out crowd at the shed that Osama Bin Laden had been killed by American special forces.
Rocks Off doesn't think we had ever heard lead singer Perry Farrell sound that excited about something since well, anything really. In the clip he remembers the people who fought and died this past decade and the crowd goes into full patriotic party mode.
Who would have though that punk shaman would be the one whooping it up like Toby Keith? But seriously, things are still dangerous and the death of Bin Laden will only anger the terrorists more, so party hardy, but realize that the rough stuff is far from over.
Ah hell, crank up "Mountain Song" and pass the joint.
