Loirefest 2015 at Camerata and More

Five wine bars in Houston are celebrating Loirefest with at least five Loire Valley wines and special food geared to show off the wine. You can experience Loirefest at Camerata at Paulie's, Underbelly's Wine Bar, 13 Celsius, Public Services Wine and Whisky  and Sonoma Wine Bar on Monday through Friday of this week.

Russo's Treasure Hunt

For the next two weeks or so, you can search for specially marked and concealed bottles of olive oil in businesses around the city. Follow the instructions on the bottles for a Russo's Pizzeria gift card that's good for any location. Clues will be released via Russo's social media pages to help get the bottle rolling, as it were. Houston Food Bank Young Professionals' Dinner at IKEA

The Houston Food Bank's young professionals organization, f.r.e.s.h., is partnering with IKEA Houston to bring you this fundraiser for the food bank, which was recently named the national Food Bank of the Year. Participants will draw tickets that assign them an income level for the night, and the dinner they are served will match their income level. IKEA is providing the dinner, and the drinks are provided by Leprechaun Cider, so come test your luck for a good cause— no assembly required. Visit this link for tickets. 7810 Katy Freeway. Fogo Hosts a South American Wine Dinner

Everyone's go-to churrascaria steakhouse is putting on a four-course meal with plenty of South American wines to go around. Spoiler alert: the courses are basically their standard fare. However, that fare is always a great choice if you're looking for respectable steak, and you get plenty of wine and dessert included in the price. Pop-Up Dinner at Glitter Karaoke

The pop-up dinner bonanza continues at Glitter Karaoke this week with Chef Arash's Cup O' Noodle Dinner. The venue has hosted this chef before with a similar menu offering, and it was reportedly delicious the first time around. Roegels Barbecue Co. is putting away rib bones for an enormous batch of smokey ramen that you won't want to miss, and the noodles themselves will be brought to you by the Tiger Den. 2621 Milam. 8 p.m.

Red, White and Garth at Quattro

Garth Brooks is performing at the Toyota Center four times in the next two weeks, and each time, Chef Maurizio Ferrarese of Quattro, who apparently drives a pick-up, is pulling out all the stops and the chops for a barbecue fiesta, complete with 40 different barbecue-related menu items (!), a beverage package and live music and dancing. In perhaps the best perk of all, you can park for free at the hotel and walk to the concert. There will also be an after-party at the hotel when the concert is over. Reservations are required, and you can make them on the Quattro website. 1300 Lamar. 4 p.m. on June 26 and 27 and July 3 and 4. $39 for barbecue, $25 additional for the beverage package. 

Hands-On Tours at Four Seasons

Every Friday in June and July, Executive Chef Maurizio Ferrarese and his team will lead a group of brave culinary explorers on a tour that's part cooking class and part fine dining. There will be tequila samples, mix-your-own-scapece (which is a marinated vegetable mix), a caviar bar, pasta cutting, a dinner complete with a wine flight and a lesson in layering tiramisu. Attendees will also get a behind-the-scenes look at the kitchens of the Four Seasons. Reservations are required, and can be made by visiting the Quattro website. 1300 Lamar. 7 p.m. $79 per person or $145 per couple

Houston Arboretum Presents a Cook-Out Wine Pairing Class

This class, brought to you by the Houston Arboretum and Nature Center and the Texas Wine School, will help you figure out how to pair wines with all of your favorite things to throw on the grill, like hot dogs, burgers, ribs and more. Cheese and charcuterie will be served at the class, along with the inevitable wine samples. Four Seasons Invites You for Pride

As the LGBT Pride Celebration has its first year downtown, the Four Seasons is opening up its lobby to parade goers to grab some shade and cocktails, enjoy the nearby parade, and jam with Deejay Brad Janacek. 1300 Lamar. 8 p.m.

Vom Fass Presents Summer Indulgence with Ceviche

There's a month-long tasting event at Vom Fass happening until mid-July, and this week's event is all about ceviche, a delicious seafood salsa cooked in citrus juice. Complimentary samples will abound, along with the opportunity to educate yourself about making ceviche. 2424 Times. 12 p.m. Free

French Bake Sale at Fluff Bake Bar

The newly-arrived Fluff Bake Bar already has a full schedule of summer events, and this week is a Saturday morning bake sale called "All Things French." Go check out the Sugar Fairy's new pastry shop and try some French delicacies. 314 Gray. Google says that the store opens at 9 a.m.
