In addition to the first-ever tamale-making demonstration by Executive Chef Arnaldo Richards, enjoy the restaurant's 2nd Annual Tamalada Brunch. The $20 per person brunch event includes all of Picos’s authentic tamales, paired with salsas, traditional accompaniments and delicious moles from the seven regions of Mexico. Additional offerings include champurrado, a traditional corn and chocolate beverage; and atoles, a thick corn hominy drink flavored with strawberry or guava. Sip & Cycle: Whiskey Brunch @ Around the Corner

Bring your bike to make your way from Cottage Grove to Midtown, Med Center, Third Ward and EaDo on this 12-plus-mile sip & cycle. Riders will enjoy three drinks, plus small brunch bites at each stop along the way. Stops include Down the Street, Around the Corner and Axelrad Beer Garden. Food pairings will be provided by Etta’s HTX and Hugs & Donuts. Tickets are $37 per person, with a portion of the proceeds benefiting the Almeda Yards Thanksgiving Project.

James Beard’s Event of the Year features a multi-course beverage-paired dinner created by five of Houston’s top chefs – Maurizio Ferrarese of Quattro; Robert Del Grande of Bar Annie & RDG; Manabu Horiuchi (Chef Hori) of Kata Robata; Hugo Ortega of Hugo’s Restaurant, Backstreet Café & Caracol; and Marie LeNôtre of the Culinary Institute LeNôtre.
