There’s still time to enjoy the last two nights of this special three-night event, where Houston diners will have the opportunity to order authentic Mexican menus from Mexico City’s top culinary talent. Chefs Daniel Ovadía and Salvador Orozco will be cooking with David Cordúa at Américas, chef Victor Cabrera with Robert Del Grande at Cafe Annie and chef Israel Montero with Arnaldo Richards at Picos. The three-course menus ($45 at Cafe Annie and Picos; $49.95 at Américas) include dishes such as duck dumplings with kaffir lime and smoked chili (Américas), chicken enchiladas in peanut sauce (Café Annie) and rib eye with guajillo chili at (Picos).

Fact: When this bespoke butcher shop and cafe announces it's hosting one of its Kolache Saturdays, you should seriously consider breaking whatever plans you have to get yourself there. This time around, the flavor lineup includes plum and ginger, blueberry and lemon ricotta, and kielbasa and cheddar. Get them until they sell out alongside some of the best lattes in town.

Enjoy live music, beer tastings and cocktails in Goode Company’s newly renovated Armadillo Palace, where you'll also find a cow cooking over a rotisserie and newly crafted cocktails from the Orange Blossom bar. Guests can sample complimentary tacos, tray-passed appetizers and beer tastings from local brewer Buffalo Bayou Brewery. Tickets are $15, with half of the ticket proceeds benefiting the Lone Star Veterans Association.

4th Annual Brew Fest at Watson’s House of Ales

Hit the patio for a chance to sip and vote on your favorite local brews, with the top three winners making their way onto Watson’s taps for the month of July. Tickets ($25 pre-sale or $30 at the door) include a Guinness T-shirt, a Backyard Brew pint glass (while supplies last), samples of the various beers participating, a Deep Eddy Adult Snow Cone and a "Brew Your Own Beer" class with Texas Home Brewers. Live music will be provided by artist Obsolete August.
