The General Public at 797 Sorella Court in City Centre wants to celebrate every Wednesday in the month of April with an oyster special.

From open to close, The General Public will offer freshly shucked gulf oysters for just $4.95 per dozen. What a great deal to help us get over the hump during the workweek.

"Oysters are perfect for the spring season, especially as a tasty, light treat to get over the weekday hump,” said Kyle Noonan, co-owner of FreeRange Concepts and creator of The General Public. “They pair really well with our wide selection of sparkling wines and champagnes, and since they’re loaded with B12, well…let’s just say they have some other benefits we think our guests will enjoy.”

The General Public opened last August at the corner of Sorella and Queensbury and features American gastro-pub fare and a wide selection of cocktails, beer, wine and whiskey. Crafted cocktails including the Dr. Funk, the Four Thieves, the Caipirinha and the Rusky Rose are local favorites and diners are treated to a complimentary shot at the end of day if they are lucky enough to be there for the group sundown toast.

The General Public is open from 11 a.m. to midnight, Monday through Thursday, 11 a.m. to 2 a.m. on Friday, 10:30 a.m. to 2 a.m. on Saturday and 10:30 a.m. to midnight on Sunday.
