Harris County Medical Society Cites Meagan Flynn's Work in Journalism Contest

Former staffer Meagan Flynn has received top honors in a journalism contest sponsored by the Harris County Medical Society for three articles she wrote in the past year for the Houston Press.

Flynn won a first place Award of Excellence in the "Medical Economics Print, TV or Radio Story" category of the Francis C. Moore Medical Journalism Awards for  “Don’t Fall Down on the Job.”

She also won first place in the "Periodicals (Weekly, Biweekly, Monthly) Medical/Health News Story" category for “The Life of a Rodeo Cowboy: Glory, Thrills and Career-Threatening Concussions.”

And she placed second in that same category and received a Certificate of Merit for “Chelsea and Nick Torres Were Not Going to Give Up Their Conjoined Twins”.
