Stopping Bad Mental Habits
We all have mental habits that seem hard to break. We consider them ‘bad’ or unhealthy, even destructive. Unfortunately, many of these tendencies also make us unhappy or even harm our health. We don’t seem to want to follow them, but we do follow them anyway, as if we are trapped. Buddha’s astounding insights into the mind gives us the tools to understand how and why we create compulsive patterns of behavior, and consequently how we can let go of them and create the meaningful and joyful life that we actually want. Through understanding our own minds, we can gain confidence in our potential to change. We can then replace even our most stubborn habits with profoundly beneficial ways of thinking and living that lead to peace and happiness. In this series, we’ll learn to free ourselves from painful delusions and experience true peace and happiness.
This class is being held weekly Monday, Jul 6 - Monday, Jul 27. [Organizer's description]
