University of Houston student-run organization, 713 Eats, is partnering with Yale Market to host a pop-up market for a cause. This year’s one-day outdoor market features 29 local, small businesses willing to donate a portion of their market proceeds to student scholarships. All participating vendors have sustainability as part of their business model or are plant-based restaurants. Simplicity and sustainability are a passion of the organizing undergraduate team.
“We chose to partner with plant-based restaurants or sustainable businesses because we wanted to do more than just raise money for student scholarships,” 713 Eats, CEO Danielle Nasser said. “We wanted to use Wolffest to really do our part, something beyond just raising money for the Wolfe Center.
