RDA Civic Forums take place yearly to look at urban and design topics that are of particular relevance to Houston and its region. Our current state of domestic confinement is laying bare glaring inequalities in the ways Houstonians live, but beyond the current moment, a discussion around the design aspects of affordable housing remains more urgent than ever. Is Houston still the affordable city it used to be? Who still has access to a house of their own? And who will build a new, quality affordable housing stock for those who need it?
