UNICEF works in more than 190 countries and territories, helping save more children’s lives than any other humanitarian organization. During the course of the COVID-19 pandemic, the lives of people around the world, especially children, have been significantly disrupted. It has established a new “normal” that has physical, social and emotional consequences for children— consequences that communities and parents need tools to address. UNICEF is helping to reduce and address the impact of COVID-19 on families by distributing supplies and prevention kits to schools and clinics around the world, providing practical tips and information to parents, and offering education-driven and healing activities for children. UNICEF won’t stop until every child has a chance at an equitable future.
The United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF) works in more than 190 countries and territories to pursue a more equitable world for every child. UNICEF has helped save more children’s lives than any other humanitarian organization, by providing health care and immunizations, safe water and sanitation, nutrition, education, emergency relief and more.
UNICEF USA advances the global mission of UNICEF by rallying the American public to support the world’s most vulnerable children. Together, we are working toward a world that upholds the rights of all children and helps every child thrive. [Organizer's description]
