The 44th British Festival opens at 10am on Saturday 4th November 2017 from 10am – 4pm at, to the sounds of the magnificent Houston Highlander Pipe Band and the smell of home baked scones and biscuits. This is the perfect opportunity to enjoy a traditional British fete without making the trip across the Atlantic. Stands are packed with home made cakes, jellies, jams and chutneys. Wonderful themed baskets laden with goods. There are even gourmet dog biscuits and handmade dog beds, and let’s not Christmas cakes and puddings, the T shirts and the beautifully presented sweets that make for perfect hostess gifts or Christmas presents.
The British Festival is run by the Daughters of the British Empire. Funds raised are disrupted between different charities that are chosen yearly by the DBE
