Common Bond

On weekends, you’re likely to find a line out the door at this Montrose sweet spot. But don’t worry, the fast-casual cafe manages the Snapchatting crowd just fine, and besides, it’s worth the wait. Now co-owned by the Carabba family (yes, those Carabbas), Common Bond serves up the same sugar-dusted, chocolate-dipped, and whipped-cream-dolloped treats that it has from the start. The kouign amann (like a caramelized sugar croissant) and the plain croissant have been two of the most popular baked goods, while desserts like lime or chocolate tarts and Black Forest mousse make for a sweet end to a light meal. The savory menu changes frequently, but the kitchen puts just as much energy into sandwiches, soups and salads as it does into the perfect croissant.
