The series concept was founded on research findings from Stanford’s State of Latino Entrepreneurship research that found 36 percent of Hispanic-owned businesses are either stagnant or shrinking, while 65 percent are growing. The study also found 77 percent feel mentorship is “Critical” or “Very Helpful” yet only 34 percent have a mentor and most are largely unaware of government funds and programs.
