FM Kitchen and Bar is a casual spot for burgers and Texas standards like chicken-fried steak and fried shrimp. There’s nothing fussy about the menu, and most of the food is solid. Burgers tend to be on the small side (by design), so you may want to add an extra patty or a side of some sort. Go for the tots, which are paragons of the form. There’s a full bar, but the house cocktails are hit-or-miss. A focus on local craft beer is an added selling point, as is the expansive patio, decked out with picnic tables, games and a stage for live music. The space gets a bit loud, but that works out well for the young-leaning crowd, which includes both families with children and professionals.
