Houston music lovers gained a true treasure when Heights Vinyl opened up in late 2011. The little shop run by Craig Brown has become a destination for record hunters on the lookout for quality used stock, but Brown’s passion for music extends to more than just making a sale. He also thinks Heights Vinyl has a mission to support the local music scene and the bands who roll through town, shown by the store's hosting record releases, in-store appearances, and special acoustic performances on its “High Noon Stage." These events often feature another of Houstonians' favorite activities: drinking free beer from local breweries. What’s not to love?
