It should be noted that owner Ziggy Gruber was featured in the documentary Deli Man about the vanishing tradition of New York-style delis across America. The three-inch-thick pastrami deli sandwiches are served with Hebrew National mustard, flown in from New York. The New York cheesecake is dense but slightly fluffy on the inside. Truly a Houston gem.
