Bring the right friends and La Grange will be a fun visit. This isn’t the place to take stuffy, oversensitive diners who are
going to be miffed if their water glass isn’t refilled right away. La Grange is all about rest and relaxation, except on
Friday and Saturday nights when it bursts at the seams with revelers. Weeknights and weekend mornings are the right
time to dine here. Brunch features a fabulous selection, from roasted oysters with a thick, broiled crust of aromatic
Parmesan to classic with black beans and cheesy grits. Service is a little sleepy and inattentive at times, but when it’s
there, it’s friendly. Pass on the clumsy, childish desserts, but sipping on simple cocktails with strong ties to the classics
is practically required.
