From the owner of Bosta Wine and Coffee mere steps away, this Museum District restaurant offers up fine dining served by executive chefs. New York Strip steaks, Black Hills Ranch Pork Roast, and Day Boat Scallops are among the dishes served here, and for dessert try the Pumpkin Mousse, Banana Fritter, Mascarpone Semifreddo or Chocolate Finacier.
Definitely an upscale place, the Cafe keeps a sommelier on staff to help you pick out a fine wine selection and will come around to refill your crystal glass throughout the evening. Cocktails served include original creations like the Sling Blade, consisting of basil-infused Texas vodka, orange, ginger simple syrup, and egg. Bottled beers are available in addition to the wine and full bar. A private, soundproof dining room can be reserved, and out front is a nice wraparound patio if you like to dine or drink outdoors.
