Nidda Thai Cuisine is one of Houston's oldest Thai restaurants, and the little restaurant on Lower Westheimer has been serving excellent Thai cuisine - always made from scratch, even the curries - since the early '80s, when it was called Renu's and later Bangkok Palace. Regardless of name, the restaurant has always been a Montrose institution, welcoming people from all walks of life who are just interested in a cold Singha beer, a friendly smile and a plate of chu chee eggplant in rich red curry sauce or a peppy Pad Thai covered in peanuts.
