Calling all Houstonians! Hurricane Harvey struck our city in 2017 and many of our most vulnerable neighbors are still suffering in the aftermath. The city has funding available to help those in need of home repairs. AARP is joining forces with the city to reach out to residents still in need by assisting them to fill out the Houston Recovers survey. On Saturday, March 23, volunteers will knock on doors with City Councilmember Amanda Edwards and walk residents through the survey. Training begins at 8:45 AM. Wear comfortable clothes and walking shoes. You will receive an AARP drawstring backpack to carry the needed materials.
