This colorful place, the name of which means "parrot, is open until the wee
hours. Breakfasts like huevos a la Mexicana (eggs scrambled with
peppers) and chilaquiles (eggs and tortilla strips in ranchero sauce)
get this place hopping early. Perico's makes great caldos (soups) and
tortas (sandwiches), especially the milanesa, or breaded steak. Beef kebabs and traditional fajita platters make an excellent lunch, and
the green salsa is addictive.
