Chef Bryan Caswell is reeling them in with his imaginative take on Gulf seafood. Reef's interior is cool but not lavish, the waitstaff wears blue jeans, and the bar menu includes pulled pork sliders, pizzas and shrimp shooters, giving the fine dining establishment a relaxed vibe. But it’s the aforementioned Gulf seafood that’s truly the star of the show. Caswell was one of the first chefs to champion the return of Gulf appellation oysters. Get them on-the-half-shell, or as part Reef’s 3rd Coast Plateau seafood tower, which is easily of one of the best raw seafood values in Houston at just $49.
