It's difficult to turn a designated retail space into a hopping nightclub, but Swagger does. Located in a Southwest Freeway strip center near Greenway Plaza, Swagger's storefront was probably intended for something like a cell-phone store or sandwich shop. Even on weeknights this lounge is bouncing with activity. DJs post up in the back of the room to spin old-school rap, soul, funk, and club hits, and the long bar stretches the length of the room. Margaritas are always $3 and a few tables are available, but it's probably easier to just start dancing.
