Thornton Middle School

Sienna Plantation is hosting “Shreducation,” an event where the public can shred documents and recycle electronic devices, beginning at 11 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 4, at the community’s new Thornton Middle School, 1909 Waters Lake Boulevard. During the free event, people can purge unneeded papers, old cell phones, hard drives and more. Two ProShred trucks will be on-site with a 4.5-ton capacity as well as a Technocycle electronics recycling truck. Also on hand will be DJ Rico, complimentary popcorn and watermelon, Southern Ice Cream, Bahama Buck's shaved ice, The Melt grilled cheese truck, Loam Agrinomics and a Captain Planet dunk tank. The event will continue until 3 p.m. or until the trucks are full.
