Housed in a converted warehouse in the industrial East Downtown, this sprawling bakery and café, open from morning to night 7 days a week, is a much welcomed addition to the neighborhood. Hit the sprawling, sort of sunken living room complete with gleaming wooden tables and 12 foot windows to linger over cups of nutty cortados, flat whites and cappuccinos (all made with Greenway beans) and an appealing menu of café staples – including breakfast stuffs, soups, salads, and sandwiches like a grilled cheese made with a blend of Houston Dairymades cheeses and Slow Dough sourdough. The dessert case, shimmering with rainbow ribbons of macarons, tarts, and freshly-baked pastries, is as delicious as it is alluring.
