Whirling Dervish Dance Workshop In this two day workshop, you will learn the ancient art of Dervish “whirling”, a Sufi centering meditative dance, which enhances and uplifts the soul. Visiting from India, the instructor, Meera Ekin, will be facilitating this unique, one-of-a-kind workshop. Whirling represents man's unity with the cosmos; it is a movement where we dissolve ourselves into a world that cannot be understood with our mind; and has to be felt with the heart. Sufi dance puts us in touch with different layers of our being. It’s waves will deepen and expand the different qualities of human consciousness and take us to the silent lake of our inner being. This process creates an atmosphere where love and wildness blossom into meditation. This ancient, sacred dance awakens the soul, and instills peace and harmony in the body and mind. Meera Ekin- Sufi Whirling Facilitator Meera began her journey training under various spiritual teachers and Sufi masters from India in Gurdjieff Sacred Movements, Satori, Somatic experiences, Sufi meditations and techniques of active meditations by Osho. In the process she found herself drawn to the lost art of Sufi Whirling. She has spent over 5000 hours teaching these workshops to people all over the world. "By knowing the mysteries of our own heart, we begin to resonate with the mysteries of existence". Take a journey with us into this ancient, mystic practice and get ready to be transformed. The workshop is divided into two days, on both Saturday and Sunday. Come either Saturday and Sunday morning, or on Saturday and Sunday afternoon. For each workshop, space is limited to 10 people.
