30 Seconds With Evans Blue's Dan Chandler

Rocks Off sat down with Dan Chandler of the St. Louis rock outfit Evans Blue to find out what we could find out abut the new lead singer in 30 seconds.

Rocks Off: What is the worst song in the world?

Dan Chandler: That's a hard question. I think the songs I hate are probably the most brilliant ones. They serve their purpose and are drilled into our minds.

RO: What is the best lyric in the world?

DC: "Make yourself" by Incubus.

RO: Someone throws a beer bottle at you onstage. What do you do?

DC: Kindly point him out to our fans and play the heaviest song we have. Do the math.

RO: Without worrying about space, time, or the laws of physics, what would be the ultimate gig to play?

DC: I'd be scared to play with some of the bands I think so highly of. Ha! See question 3.

RO: What would you buy with a million dollars?

DC: A million lottery tickets.

RO: What would you buy with your last dollar?

DC: McChicken.

RO: If you could canonize another musician, who would it be and of what would they be the patron saint?

DC: Chad Kroeger. Writing the same song ten times and it being a hit every time. Love ya, Chad.

RO: What will be written on the plaque beneath the giant statue future generations erect in your honor?

DC: This guy loved mayonnaise... And wrote couple good songs.

Evans Blue plays Warehouse Live Thursday. Their self-titled third album, the first to featuring Chandler on lead vocals, is available now.
