Every year, Bun B hosts a holiday event and concert that supports the Houston Food Bank. Black Sheep Agency also hosts their annual event, which this year benefited Child Advocates. With the help of Mark Austin of the Convoy Group, the two teams joined forces this year to create the biggest Holiday Jam ever, all in the spirit of giving and helping those Houstonians who need it the most. In total, with more than six large boxes of food collected and two large tables of toys donated, the event recovered enough to benefit more than 1,500 kids! Now that's a trill Christmas! Check out the images below to see how it all went down:
Accountant by day, DJ Baby Roo by night. Don't let that innocent face fool ya..... Ruben Jimenez loves two things: Topo Chico and hip-hop. And last night, he was all out of Topo! (extra cool points for the Gangstar tee!)
Guilla and Jose "iLLFaded" Gorbea want you to have a Merry Christmas!
Props to Warehouse Live for the beautiful Christmas tree. It really made the room glow, and people huddled around to enjoy it properly.
(L-R) Juan Duarte, Bun B and Christina Lynton. When Bun B made his way into the venue, everyone wanted to meet him and take a photo with him. He's like a modern-day Santa Claus!
Photographer & Trill Gladiator Kelele "The Party King" Thumbutu and Houston hip-hop historian Matt Sonzala were in the building.
Willie Nelson approves of your donation!
This will feed lots of hungry people during the holidays and beyond.
So many toys for the kids!
Fat Tony kicked things off with another passionate performance. He ended his set by performing his new single "MacGregor Park," as seen on the video screen behind him.
Drinking Saint Arnold's for charity! Don't mind if we do!
Aimee Woodall and Bun B thanked everyone for attending, then welcomed The Tontons to the stage.
Everything is "Golden" once Asli Omar and The Tontons get going.
Todd Spoth, one of Houston's most brilliant photographers, gets into the Christmas spirit.
Just Brittany performed a last-minute set by doing The Southside.
And everyone had a good time.
including the trillest of them all!
Keep it trill, everyone! Merry Christmas, Happy Hanukkah, Joyous Kwanzaa or whatever makes you happy!
