Doug Supernaw Committed

Channel 2 News is reporting that troubled Doug Supernaw was committed to a mental institution today.

Supernaw has been in Harris County Jail since April after the latest of a long string of minor drug and alcohol arrests and blown-off court dates. His behavior has been increasingly erratic the last few years.

I don’t know how to interpret this news yet. It could be the best thing that has happened to Supernaw if he can get the care he needs there. Of course, if he is getting sent to a bad facility, it could be the worst thing. All I do know is this – he’s not gonna get any better in the slammer, and he’s not gonna get any better on his own, either. Here’s hoping he can find a way to break through from the other side. – John Nova Lomax
