Drinking With Drinkify: Website Concocts Cocktails For You Based On Your Musical Tastes

The website Drinkify combines your musical tastes with your booze tastes, with sometimes hilarious and dangerous results. The site does what we have been doing since we first took our first sip of the hard stuff, and that's finding the right music for your liver-killing.

Though, if you followed the generated advice of Drinkify at the Mastodon show a few weeks back and drank a few of the illicit cocktails it suggested, you may regret it after the first three days of crawling trees in Memorial Park like a kitty.

So today we plugged in some of the music we listen to daily and recorded what Drinkify suggested we sip as the each artist's sweet sounds permeated our ears. We also threw in some more milquetoast names for grins to see what it would do, considering the puniness of their music doesn't lend itself to boozing.

Each entry comes back with a few ingredients, the amounts you should use, and preparation and serving instructions. Someone start making some moonshine now, Robert Ellis' next show at Fitz is in just a few weeks.

"The Slayer"

8 oz. Blood 8 oz. Wheatgrass juice

Combine in shaker and strain into cocktail glass. Serve. Stir vigorously.

"The Robert Ellis"

4 oz. Moonshine

Serve on rocks. Garnish with national flag.

"The Bun B"

4 oz. Cough syrup 4 oz. Bombay Sapphire Gin

Serve on rocks. Garnish with umbrella.
