Enrique Iglesias & Jennifer Lopez Heading to Houston August 26

Enrique Iglesias, Jennifer Lopez and Wisin Y Yandel are heading to Houston's Toyota Center on August 26. This marks the third time that Iglesias has been in Houston in the past year, logging a RodeoHouston date this spring and a Toyota show last fall. Does he own land here or something?

From the looks of it, Lopez was last here in Houston with ex-husband Marc Anthony back in October 2007 for a co-headlining date. The only Lopez song I like is "Jenny from the Block," "If You Had My Love", "Waiting for Tonight" and "Let's Get Loud."

Oh, that's five songs, you say? I never finished college.

Latin duo Wisin Y Yandel have been selling out arenas on their own for a few years now in their own right. With a ten-piece band and eight dancers in tow, they should be worthy openers for the guy who gets to see Anna Kournikova naked when he wants, plus fake Selena.

Keep the Houston Press Free... Since we started the Houston Press, it has been defined as the free, independent voice of Houston, and we would like to keep it that way. Offering our readers free access to incisive coverage of local news, food and culture. Producing stories on everything from political scandals to the hottest new bands, with gutsy reporting, stylish writing, and staffers who've won everything from the Society of Professional Journalists' Sigma Delta Chi feature-writing award to the Casey Medal for Meritorious Journalism. But with local journalism's existence under siege and advertising revenue setbacks having a larger impact, it is important now more than ever for us to rally support behind funding our local journalism.
