First Taylor Swift, Now Carrie Underwood

It's going to be a blond spring, when it comes to wholesome country-pop role models touring through Houston.

Days after Taylor Swift announced Houston will be part of her upcoming "Red" tour on May 16 (venue TBD), Carrie Underwood's Web site unveiled the dates of her 40-city spring 2013 outing behind most recent album Blown Away, including an April 23 stop at Toyota Center. Tickets go on sale at 10 a.m. Friday, November 16, through the venue's box office and Web site, as well as by phone at 866-4HOUTIX.

The shows are three and a half weeks apart. Where's Miranda Lambert?

Rocks Off is concerned that Underwood is engaging in a dangerous game of one-upsmanship with Swift. Would it be too much to ask for the two of them to set aside their differences and do a joint stadium tour like Kenny Chesney and Tim McGraw did this past summer?

We think everyone would rest a lot easier that way. Both singers are scheduled to appear on Thursday's CMA Awards at Nashville's Bridgestone Arena, but Underwood is scheduled to co-host with Brad Paisley.
