In order to help with his hospital bills, the Houston Press will be hosting a benefit for Music Editor Chris Gray, who suffered an apparent heart attack last Friday.

As of today, things were looking up for Chris. He took two steps, was able to sit up unaided in his hospital bed and has graduated to baby food, his father said.

Details of the benefit are in the process of being worked out, but we'll let you know ASAP once they're settled since so many people have asked about this.

Also, if anyone would like to send a card, please send it to 16206 Bougainvilla Lane, Friendswood, TX, 77546 and his family will make sure he gets it.
