How Sinful Are The Vatican's Favorite Albums?

The Catholic church has released a slightly tongue-in-cheek list of its favorite albums of all time, via the Holy See's official newspaper L' Osservatore Romano.

When first you hear about it, you might think it would be filled with Christian rock (Hey. Petra. Right?) but no, for whatever reason, the Vatican chose actual, legitimate albums as their favorites. Albums rife with dirty, dirty sins, as listed below.

The Beatles, Revolver

Greed:

"(If you drive a car ), I'll tax the street/ (If you try to sit ), I'll tax your seat/ (If you get too cold ), I'll tax the heat/ (If you take a walk ), I'll tax your feet." - "Taxman"

Lust:

"Make love all day long/ Make love singing songs" - "Love You To"

Sloth:

Pink Floyd, Dark Side of the Moon

False Gods (Paganism):

"Far away across the field, the tolling of the iron bell/ Calls the faithful to their knees/ To hear the softly spoken magic spells" - "Breathe (Reprise)"

Sloth:

"Ticking away the moments that make up a dull day/ Fritter and waste the hours in an offhand way/ Kicking around on a piece of ground in your hometown/ Waiting for someone or something to show you the way" - "Time"

Greed/Profanity:

"Money it's a hit/ Don't give me that do goody good bullshit/ I'm in the hi-fidelity first class traveling set/ And I think I need a Lear jet" - "Money"

U2, Achtung Baby

Idolatry:

"Hallelujah, heaven's white rose/ The doors you open, I just can't close" - "Who's Gonna Ride Your Wild Horses"

Theft/Wrath:

"Every artist is a cannibal, every poet is a thief/ All kill their inspiration and sing about their grief" - "The Fly"

False Witness:

"I must be an acrobat/ To talk like this/ And act like that" - "Acrobat"

Michael Jackson, Thriller

Envy:

"But we both cannot have her/ So it's one or the other/ And one day you'll discover/ That she's my girl forever and ever" - "The Girl Is Mine"

False Witness:

Billie Jean is always talkin/ When nobody else is talkin'/ Tellin' lies and rubbin' shoulders/ So they called her mouth a motor" ("Wanna Be Startin' Somethin'")

Lust:

I want to love you (P.Y.T.)/ Pretty young thing/ You need some lovin' (T.L.C.)/ Tender lovin' care" - "P.Y.T. (Pretty Young Thing)"

Witchcraft:

"They're out to get you/ There's demons closing in on every side/ They will possess you/ Unless you change that number on your dial" - "Thriller"

Oasis, (What's the Story) Morning Glory

Pride:

"I hitched a ride with my soul/ By the side of the road/ Just as the sky turned black/ I took a walk with my fame/ Down memory lane/ I never did find my way back" - "Hey Now!" Idolatry:
