Joe Doucet

Bluesman Joe Doucet celebrates the release of his new CD, Houston's Third Ward Blues, on Dialtone Records with a little in-store glad-handing and a teaser performance. Guitarist Doucet had been out of the music game for more than 20 years when he bumped into Bayou City Blues author Roger Wood. After an impromptu sidewalk show that left the writer deeply impressed, Wood helped Doucet reconnect with industry insiders. Two years later, Doucet released his debut solo album (he'd been on several others as a sideman), Houston's Third Ward Blues, on Austin's Dialtone Records. Members of the Texas Southside Kings also will be on hand.
