Lonesome Onry and Mean: A New Chuck Prophet Album Is Better Than Christmas

If there is anything that, in all our glorious jadedness, Lonesome Onry and Mean waits for with bated breath besides the next issue of Saint Arnold's Divine, it is a new album from Chuck Prophet. We expect to receive advance copies of Prophet's new album ¡Let Freedom Ring!, recorded in Mexico City, any day now. Prophet's label Yep Roc has recently released a documentary promotional trailer for the album and it's a scream if only for Prophet's description of the album as "a political record for non-political people."

Fans of True Blood may have recognized Prophet's spooky-cool track "You Did" playing as the final credits rolled on the season-ending segment.

Expect Prophet's new one to be available in about three weeks. Until then, we'll just have to make do with Homemade Blood and Soap & Water.
