Zac Brown Band's new album Uncaged hits shelves and the Interwebs next Tuesday, and ahead of that release the band collaborated with film director Mike Judge and animation crew Titmouse to make a clip for lead single "The Wind."
Anyone who is a fan of the work Titmouse has done on Adult Swim's Metalocalypse or the second season of Superjail! will be sated, and fans of ZBB's homegrown bluegrass brew will be rightfully tickled.
I mean, Brown stars as a whiskey-fueled "Six Million Dollar Honky" so you have to enjoy that, even if ZBB's good-time harmonies make you cringe. There will be nothing in any other country-music video quite like it, unless Taylor Swift's presumably goes total goth on her next album.
Uncaged features Amos Lee, Trombone Shorty, and Jason Mraz on a handful of cuts. Lee joined ZBB onstage at May's New Orleans Jazz & Heritage Festival for the song "The Day I Die" off the new LP.
