I got here really late. I think I'll just have enough time to go see Spain Colored Orange at RocBar. If i have any time, I might make it to see Rusted Shut at Notsuoh.
Who are your HPMA picks?
B L A C K I E or Young Mammals for Best Local Group. I really like them both, I wish them both the best of luck. Best Hardcore/Noise, I would love to see Future Blondes. And for Best Male Vocals I would love to see Cornbreadd from Tha Fucking Transmissions because he really deserves it for everything he's done to put Houston on the map a little bit more.
Best New Act, I really think Muhammad Ali or Bolt, I think that'd be great.
What have you been listening to lately?
The majority of my record collection lately which has been neglected lately. Massive amounts of records that I haven't lately. A lot of soundtrack stuff, a lot of ambient stuff from the 70. A lot Kraut rock.
I think this is my tenth year being a nominee at the HPMAs and I've never won. It's pretty cool, it's fun.
