ReFried Rice: In the Hot Seat with Chris Wise from Buxton

Chris Wise was going to do an interview but instead he decided to try and pick up Geoffrey Muller from the SideShow tramps. The two are currently discussing Muller recent stroll down dress lane at the I am Mesmer CD release show. Oh, Muller just said he would "be honored" to help out with the next Buxton release. Wise is happy about that.

Muller: What would I do? Just hang out in my dress?
Wise: It helps the Sugarhill vibe.

Okay, Chris, now it's time to get in the hot seat.

Who are you here to see?
Well I can't see any of the bands I want to see. (His band is playing.)
Spain Colored Orange, Los Skarnales, Sideshow Tramps and Metavenge. I am going to see B L  A C K I E. I saw Elaine (Greer) earlier and that was really good.

Who are your HPMA picks?
I want Young Mammals to win for Carrots.
I want Sergio to get win for vocals. I think it's off the wall that he got nominated for vocals. It's weird that our biggest criticism is what we ended up getting nominated for.
Kam for Musician of the Year.

What are you listening to right now?
Dirty Projectors, Bitte Orca. Bonnie Prince Billy, Beware. Flaming Lips.

What is your band (Buxton) up to lately?
We're writing and about to record the full-length record. That record is going to be a Houston record. We want everyone to be involved in it.
