Support the independent voice of Houston and help keep the future of Houston Press free.
Taylor Swift added a new batch of dates to her Speak Now tour this week, with the pop-country idol and increasingly powerful media giant coming to Minute Maid Park on November 5. If we remember correctly, the last artist to fill up the Juice Box was Madonna back in November 2008.
Swift was just hear about a year ago for a two-night stand at Toyota Center in May 2010, the first show of which Rocks Off covered. And yes, we liked the show, even if we were surrounded by modern girl-power. It was actually very comforting.
Swift is currently touring behind last year's blockbusting Speak Now LP, which was rife with insider information on a variety of her failed romantic conquests for the young singer, including a tryst with older dude John Mayer and her failed relationship with Twilight's Taylor Lautner.
Ticketing information should be made available in the coming days.

Keep the Houston Press Free... Since we started the Houston Press, it has been defined as the free, independent voice of Houston, and we would like to keep it that way. Offering our readers free access to incisive coverage of local news, food and culture. Producing stories on everything from political scandals to the hottest new bands, with gutsy reporting, stylish writing, and staffers who've won everything from the Society of Professional Journalists' Sigma Delta Chi feature-writing award to the Casey Medal for Meritorious Journalism. But with local journalism's existence under siege and advertising revenue setbacks having a larger impact, it is important now more than ever for us to rally support behind funding our local journalism. You can help by participating in our "I Support" membership program, allowing us to keep covering Houston with no paywalls.
